This Saturday we will meet at 7.45pm at The Planet Entertainment Centre. The meeting point will be at the bar. Bowling will start 8:00pm sharp. Please arrive 7.45pm so we can get set up. We will play two games of bowling. After the first round of bowling the guys will change teams so that everyone gets to meet everyone.
How it went: We had three full lanes as all tickets sold out. 9 men and 9 ladies. Well done to Jeff who got the highest score on the night of 118! Most of us went on to O'Connells Bar after bowling and some stayed out until late. Looking forward to seeing you all again! Weston Club (Social Club for ages 33- 45) is hosting a drinks evening at An Pucan this Friday from 9pm. We have reserved a table right down the back room of the bar.

Places: 12 men & 12 ladies Description: Join us for a fun Treasure Hunt in Kilcornan Park in Clarinbridge this Saturday! Whether you have been to Weston Club events before or this will be your first time; you will be kept busy searching for treasure together! Each team will navigate their way to a location and have 5-minutes to find the hidden treasure. If they are unable to find it within 5-minutes then the other team will get to join in the search! Places: 9 men & 9 ladies Description: Next Saturday, 18 of us will go for two games of bowling and afterwards go to a lovely cocktail bar for more socialising! How it went: Tickets for bowling sold out the day the tickets were released. The highest score of the night was Michael with 128 points! After bowling about 15 of us went on to Hyde Bar for cocktails until after midnight and after that about 6 people went to Quays Bar. It is great to see the club growing and so many people making friends. We now have 202 members and have several new members joining every week. Date: Sunday 30th April
Places: 10 men & 10 ladies Description: On Sunday 30th April we will take you for a 9km walk on the Ballyvaughan Woods Loop in the Burren Co. Clare. Wear hiking boots or good runners. Bring a drink and snacks, we will have a late lunch at the Soda Parlour café. How it went: We had a large group of 19 and from the Ballyvaughan Pier meeting point we made our way to the trail. Apart from slight drizzle it stayed dry for us and the trail was not too muddy either. It was a lovely walk and everyone was chatting along the way and in the café for lunch too. Thank you to the Soda Parlour taking us all on a busy bank holiday weekend! Date: Sunday 16th April
Places: 6 men & 6 ladies Description: Come on a lovely long stroll with Weston Club (33-45s), 12km Cong to Clonbur this Sunday 16th April. We will meet in Cong Car Park (type that into your GPS to find it) at 11am Sunday morning, and will start walking at 11:15am. The walk is 6km to Clonbur and 6km back to Cong, stopping for lunch in Clonbur. Altogether it should take around 4 hours including the lunch stop. The weather is forecast to be dry but do bring suitable walking gear and a rain jacket just in case. Suitable walking footwear essential. How it went: We got the most amazing weather (it was expected to be overcast and drizzly). 12 of us walked what turned out to be 16km according to our GPS. We stopped for lunch at Burkes in Clonbur. Everyone said the food was delicious so we will be coming back there again soon! Lots of sunshine on the walk back to Cong and once again a really great group! Date: Sunday 19th February 2023 Places: 9 men & 9 ladies Description: This Valentine's weekend I have planned a lovely daytrip for us to visit Doolin Caves, followed by lunch in Doolin and a sunset walk on the beach at Fanore. How it went: The cave tour was excellent and enjoyed by all. Afterwards we went for lunch in McDermotts in Doolin and had a good chat. Lastly was the sunset walk on the beach...except there was no sun; just drizzle, and a lot of wind! We just stayed half an hour at Fanore. Hoping for a bit of sunshine for the next day trip!
